For ten years now Müpa Budapest's programme series World-Wide has been popularising two Hungarian instruments: the cimbalom and the tárogató. While the focus is on the cimbalom in this jubilee year, the subject of the tárogató will also come up in the usual panel discussion held as part of the series, as joining Endre Liber, the curator of the festival, and regular World-Wide host and cimbalist Kálmán Balogh there with a new album to present, will be wind player Péter Bede. In addition to the new album, the conversation will also address the interweaving of genres and the technical tools required of musicians working in crossover styles.
