What should I do if I cannot find the ‘Purchase ticket’ button at the selected event on mupa.hu?

What should I do if I did not receive a confirmation?
The system informs our customers about their successful online ticket purchase by e-mail. In addition, our registered users can access tickets purchased online in their personal accounts. Depending on the security or other settings of your e-mail account, this confirmation might be delivered to your spam folder or placed by Gmail under the Promotions tab. If you receive no confirmation in your inbox directly after purchase, please check the folders mentioned above.
If you do not receive this confirmation within an hour, please do not place another order; call +36 1 555 3300 or send an e-mail to jegypenztar@mupa.hu. The successful completion of a purchase does not depend on sending such a confirmation.

Do I have to exchange my e-season ticket for a plastic card?
The e-season tickets are fully functional electronic tickets, the code number and bar code contain all the information associated with your order. The e-season ticket authorises entry in itself, but if you would prefer to have your season ticket in the form of a plastic card, you can exchange your e-season ticket for a card up until the day before the first performance on the season ticket.

Does the dynamic pricing also apply to pre-purchases available to cardholders of the Müpa+ membership programme?
The dynamic pricing Müpa Budapest has introduced for the sale of certain performances does not affect the pre-purchasing opportunities reserved for Müpa+ membership programme cardholders. Therefore the pre-purchasing opportunities available to membership programme cardholders will continue in the usual manner, with fixed-price seating. If you have not yet joined Müpa Budapest’s long-standing membership programme, with its many benefits, register with us so that you too can take advantage of the opportunity to pre-purchase tickets once you have reached the appropriate level!
Can the prices of the selected tickets being sold for performances subject to dynamic pricing change during the purchasing process?
Dynamic pricing means that Müpa Budapest’s ticket system might change the price of tickets for a given performance at regular intervals based on supply and demand. It is important to note that such changes can occur during the ticket purchasing process itself, even after you have opened and started to browse the ticket map. In such cases, however – since the subsequent change will not be visible in the display of the already opened ticket map – the system will notify you of the new ticket prices in a pop-up window before placing it in the basket. Naturally, as before, the system will not change the price of tickets you have already placed in your basket.
Do ticket prices always increase, or can they decrease as well? How much will ticket prices increase/decrease for a specific performance?Dynamic pricing allows ticket prices to change according to supply and demand. Therefore, while ticket prices might rise within a specified limit for some performances, you will also be able to purchase tickets for other productions at a lower, more favourable price, based on demand for a given production and the available supply of spaces. Prices vary between the minimum and maximum prices shown on the website based on the algorithm the system uses.

The points of this level will be deducted from your current balance, and you can start earning more points to add to your remaining ones.
You can check the validity of your loyalty level and your current balance as well as the number of points needed to advance to the next level any time, in the Loyalty Programme menu. Here you can also check the Points Log where you can review, in chronological order, the points credited to you for purchases made and the points used (deducted) for advancing to a new level.

What should I do if I have lost my card? Will I lose my loyalty points as well?
If you have lost your Müpa+ card, you should promptly inform Müpa Budapest (info@mupa.hu, +36 1 555 3001). Your old card will be blocked, and we issue a new card to you on your next in-person visit. In this case, you will be required to present proof of identity based on the data provided upon registration. Your points will then be transferred to the new card.
What happens if I cancel the Müpa+ Loyalty Programme by clicking on the Cancel Loyalty Programme button?
If you click on the “Cancel Loyalty Programme” button on the website and you choose to cancel despite the warning displayed (“Please be informed that by cancelling your membership you will lose your current loyalty level as well as all points earned to date”), you will irrevocably terminate your membership in the Loyalty Programme, lose your loyalty points and the acquired loyalty level along with the related discounts, and your Müpa+ card also becomes invalid. You can then register again for the Müpa+ Loyalty Programme as a new member, and re-start collecting points.
Where can I find information and details on the use of services offered under the Loyalty Programme?
You can find a detailed guide on the various discounts and on how to use the various services by logging in to the website and clicking on the “How the Müpa+ Loyalty Programme works” link in the Loyalty Programme menu
Is there a nappy changing area and/or a separate spot designated for breastfeeding at Müpa Budapest?
There is a nappy changing area in the disabled toilet on the bottom floor of the Festival Theatre and in the women’s toilets of the Ludwig Museum. There is no separate area specifically designated for breastfeeding in the building, but the upper floors of the Concert Hall are not in use during children’s activities, so the sofas there can provide adequate comfort and privacy for mothers and their children.
Where can I find information about which children’s programmes use amplified sound?
Amplified audio is mostly used for performances held in the Festival Theatre and Béla Bartók Concert Hall; children’s activity sessions do not.
Can I bring a pram to the activity sessions? If not, where can I leave it securely?
Prams may only be brought into the activity sessions held in the Blue Hall (Busy with Music and Sing-along Baby). In all other cases, we ask parents to use the pram parking lot on the ground floor, in the cloakroom behind the ticket office. Although the security staff is constantly present in the building, we cannot take responsibility for valuables left in prams.
Is there a buffet open during the children’s programmes? Can I bring food/beverages to the sessions?
If no performance is running in the Festival Theatre or the Concert Hall at the same time, the public buffets will be closed during the children’s activity sessions. However, the P’Art Café welcomes guests with a variety of soft drinks and sandwiches every day from 10 am. We kindly ask you to please refrain from eating/drinking in the auditoriums and during the activity sessions. You will have the opportunity to do so in the public areas of the building afterwards.
If I come by car, where can I park?
If you have a ticket for a performance/activity session, you can use Müpa Budapest’s underground garage free of charge. More information about the parking procedure and validating your parking ticket, find here. In the case of free programmes, you can use the underground parking garage for an hourly parking fee of HUF 400/hour. Parking in the surrounding streets is subject to fees on weekdays, but free on weekends.
Is it a good idea to bring a change of shoes to the activity sessions?
Activity sessions for children ages 0-3 are usually held in carpeted halls, so it is not mandatory to change shoes, but it may be worth bringing indoor shoes/socks for the babies.
Can children sit on their parents’ laps during a performance?
No, children may not sit on their parents’ laps. Our performances for adults are not recommended for young children (below six years of age). If young children attend a performance, tickets must also be purchased for them. We also kindly ask you to also bear in mind the age recommendations for those events expressly designed for children. Children who disturb the performance will be asked to leave the auditorium together with their companions.
In the case of family and youth programmes, when do children and parents have to buy tickets?
On the web page for the family or youth programme, in addition to the ticket price, we also inform visitors which members of the family need to purchase a ticket. The method of purchasing tickets is as follows:

Frequently Asked Questions
In which case can I park at Müpa Budapest for free?
If you have a ticket for one of Müpa Budapest’s paid and public performances, your parking is free on the day of the performance. Parking is free during opening hours, after which it is subject to the standard hourly rate (400 HUF/hour).
I would like a VAT invoice for my paid parking.
We are only able to issue an invoice for parking if the payment for the parking is made at the operator’s booth on level -1 of the underground garage and only on the day of payment – during the opening hours of the underground garage – as the operator of the underground garage is the only one who can issue invoices to our guests. If you have already paid at one of the payment machines, it is not possible to issue an invoice afterwards, at the exit.
Where can I validate my free parking?
You can validate your free parking with your performance ticket for the day of entry at any Parking terminal in the underground garage or at the ticket collection points within the building.
Where can I pay for my parking?
If you need to pay for parking, you can do so at the Parking terminals located on all levels of the underground garage. It is possible to pay in cash or with card.
When can I validate my free parking?

However, parking is subject to the standard rate of 400 HUF/hour after the free parking period (outside of opening hours on the given day).
When should I pay for my parking?
If you need to pay for parking, you should pay your parking fee at the end of your visit to Müpa Budapest as you have 30 minutes after paying to exit the garage.
When is the system unable to recognise license plate numbers?
Müpa Budapest’s parking system is able to scan clean front license plate numbers in Latin characters with a 97% accuracy. If the license plate number is dirty (with snow, mud, etc.), written in non-Latin characters (e.g. Cyrillic, Hebrew, Arabic), mounted off the centre of the bumper (e.g. on the left or right or on the hood), or is of an unconventional type (e.g. a sticker), its characters will not be recognised by the system. If the system is unable to recognise your license plate number, please take a parking ticket.
What is a “paid performance”?
A paid performance is a performance open to the general public, for which Müpa Budapest issues and sells tickets. The exhibitions in the Ludwig Museum, for which admission tickets must be purchased, are not considered as a Müpa Budapest paid performance.
How many times can a performance ticket be used to enter and exit the underground garage on the day of the performance?
A single event ticket, valid for a paid performance entitles you to one entry and exit of the underground garage.

How do I use Müpa Budapest’s new “Pre-order” service?
When you arrive at Müpa Budapest, please go to the “Pre-order” counter of the Atrium Snack Bar located between the escalator and the bookstore. The counter is open and pre-ordering is available if that day's concert in the Béla Bartók Concert Hall is performed with an intermission. After you have selected the items you would like to enjoy during the intermission, purchase your order. You will be given a receipt showing the details of your order, as well as a prominently displayed table number. Please retain this receipt as you will need it later.
During the intermission, go to the Atrium – the same area inside Müpa Budapest where you purchased the service, where your order will be placed on the table with the same number as on your receipt. The table number is placed into a coloured cube. We suggest that, before beginning to enjoy your refreshments, check and make sure that all of the items you have ordered are present on the table. If you encounter any problems, the host/hostess stationed in the area will be available to resolve the issue. This same person may help you find your table and he/she may also ask to see the receipt that was given to you when you made your purchase. In this case, please always comply with our colleague's request and hand over your receipt.

If the performance in the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall has more than one intermission and you requested the “Pre-order” service for the second (or subsequent) intermission, then this will be indicated on a separate line on the receipt. What do I do if I purchased a pre-order but I came to a performance held in the Festival Theatre and my order appears to have been prepared for the time of the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall performance intermission?
We time the preparation of the food and drinks ordered as part of the “Pre-order” service for the beginning of the intermissions of Béla Bartók National Concert Hall performances. We notify our guests of this condition both in our written notices, ads, posters and flyers, and during the time of the purchase. In the event that you come to the Atrium for your order at the wrong time, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to receive the full and proper service, or obtain a refund – although we will do everything possible to remedy the problem.

Can I add items to my order if I get hungry or thirsty during the intermission and wish to get more refreshments?

If you wish to purchase extra items in addition to your order, then you need to do so at one of the snack bars located in the Main Foyer.
Is my pre-ordered coffee freshly made or is it brewed earlier?
When you order coffee products as part of the “Pre-order” service, we strive to serve it to you as fresh as possible. This is why we set an empty cup on your table as a placeholder for your order. When you have “taken possession” of your table, our colleague will prepare and serve the appropriate coffee products for you.
If I haven't managed to completely consume the refreshments that I ordered in advance, can I leave them for the next intermission and finish them then?
We clear any leftover food and drink from the tables at the end of the intermission, and therefore cannot put unconsumed food away for later.
What do I do, who do I tell if there is a problem with the quality of the food or drink that I ordered?
In the event of such a problem, please go to the “Pre-order” counter of the Atrium Snack Bar and alert our staff member on duty there, who will be able to help you. This is the same counter where you ordered and paid for the pre-order service
What should I do if somebody has consumed the items I pre-ordered, or if the order is incomplete, or if I cannot find my order at all?

Why did Müpa Budapest introduce online queuing?
For highly popular concerts, the system puts incoming customers into a queue in order to make online ticket purchasing easier, and to ensure the smooth running of the system.
How does it work?
When you click on TICKETS on the Müpa Budapest website, the system automatically indicates in a pop-up window the number of people in front of you in the queue. The number is continually decreasing, and as soon as everyone in front of you has finished purchasing their tickets, the ticket map automatically opens; you may then begin selecting and purchasing your tickets.
Once it is my turn, how long do I have to finish purchasing the tickets?
From the moment you put the first ticket in your online shopping basket, you have 20 minutes to purchase other tickets and complete your shopping. After 20 minutes, the reservation is cancelled, and tickets are made available to other shoppers again. The remaining shopping time is displayed in the top corner of the screen.
What to do if the system fails to refresh automatically?
If the number of people in the queue in front of you has not changed in the last 5 minutes, please close and reopen your browser window.
Please note that the queue might be slow due to the popularity of the event. Your patience is appreciated.
