The outstanding jazz singer who died tragically young would have celebrated her 42nd birthday on 9 July 2022. We will remember her with parts of concerts that she herself could have performed in at Müpa Budapest. We have selected music from Lőrinc Barabás Eklektric's 2010 concert and the 2014 Random Trip Müpa Special performance (which had Juli Fábián & Zoohacker as guests), as well as the Gala Concert of the 2017 Jazz Showcase, thereby reviving the art of Juli Fábián.

Lőrinc Barabás Eklektric performed their first independent concert at Müpa Budapest as part of the Electronic Music Days. An important milestone in the history of the band, the group prepared a truly remarkable treat for the audience. In addition to the use of acoustic instuments, Eklektric appeared on stage alongside a sting quartet, building a unique bridge within the scope of the festival between the traditions of acoustic music and progressive electronica.

Random Trip is a series of improvisational concerts spanning generic boundaries (pop, rock, jazz, hip-hop, blues, electro and more) and featuring the biggest names in the twenty- and thirty-something generation of Hungarian popular music. Initially launched from Budapest clubs as a weekly club night in late 2008 and early 2009, the event has soon "outgrown” its original framework and is now a welcome guest at festivals and top clubs in the provinces, while the list of performers is regularly augmented by international music stars. Juli Fábián & Zoohacker were frequent guests of Random Trip concerts.

The Jazz Showcase 10 gala concert brought together those young soloists who have already performed at Müpa Budapest's jazz talent forum over the previous nine years and since seen their careers take off as they have heaped international success upon domestic acclaim.
Juli Fábián, who takes cues from electronic dance music, was one of the memorable singers of the 2017 concert.
