Kriszta Kováts went from being a member of the Hungarian Radio Children's Choir to a favourite of the concert hall and stage, landing leading roles in productions from Evita to Mamma Mia! Starting in 1986, her first albums (Ringlispíl and Suhanó dal) were written by composer Péter Gallai and lyricist Péter Fábri. The singer then transitioned for her album Titkosírás from the world of rock ballads to alternative rock with the help of Csaba Vedres. Later, the cream of Hungarian pop music converged on her own club, Kovátsműhely where Edina 'Mókus' Szirtes was discovered. Szirtes joined the band and has since collaborated with Kováts for nearly 20 straight years. In addition to writing incidental music for stage plays, Mókus also wrote three arioso pieces for Kováts (Arany-óra - Golden ballads a cappella, Tao Te King - set to the poetry of Lao Ce, and Álomfejtés - Dreamworld music). This is how she became acquainted with the Fool Moon Vocal Ensemble, with whom she finally fulfilled her desire for polyphonic singing. She would later perform stage concerts and produce new albums with her band the Kriszta Kováts Quintet. She invited singer and artist Gábriel Farkas to perform in productions of Arany-óra and Álomfejtés, and the drawings he created and projected on stage further enriched with performances to create a unique spectacle.
Kriszta Kováts will perform the finest selections from her singing career on this evening, with an additional performer joining her on stage: Kriszta's daughter Flóra Fábri, a harpsichordist living in Germany, will be performing with her mother for the first time.
