Extraordinary in its significance, the oeuvre of Attila József, one of Hungary's best-known classic poets continues to both intensely engage the public's views on literature and captivate readers. The lively and intense afterlife of his poetry indicate that his lyrical treasures are inexhaustible, far exceeding the core material familiar from high school. This sensitive compilation by outstanding contemporary poet János Marno, considered one of the most dedicated disciples of verse that is complex in its vastness, provocatively asks the question, as it progresses through both classic works and less well-known ones, of whether we truly understand Attila József - or more precisely, whether we understand him well.

The production's cooperating partner is the University of Theatre and Film Arts.
