The occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Sándor Petőfi has prompted the creation of a musical literary production about the poet based on a script by the Attila József Award-winning writer Zsolna Ugron, the artistic director of the Imre Kertész Institute, and directed by the Kossuth Prize laureate Csaba Káel. Nine performers of pop music have set Petőfi's poems to music, crafting songs that together with the prose elements make up this production revealing the poet's revolutionary fervour, the passion of his poems, and the overwhelming importance of freedom and love in his life.
