There are countless ways that literature and music can connect to each other, and, over the course of this evening, everyone present will become part of a new and unusual expansion of this fertile contact zone. Zoltán Beck will first explore the topic in conversational form with Dóra Mencseli asking the questions. Following on from this ‘theoretical' approach, the concert by Felefánt will present a more 'real-life' experience. To get you warmed up, we recommend our #olvasniszabad (#readingforall) - Bring Something to Read! programme.

Although the discussion and guests invited to the event promise a rich experience in themselves, all this will be sweetened by the concert to follow. Furthermore, those who take an interest can also participate in an unusual event prior to the show (#olvasniszabad (#readingforall) - Bring Something to Read!). Those arriving early can take their places on one of the beanbags spread across the Festival Theatre stage, or on the seats normally reserved for the audience, to read quietly and get into the mood for the rest of the evening, or to simply clear their heads so they do not just arrive in a physical sense. Fans of the band Elefánt will have easily deduced from the title that the common theme in this case can be found in the person of Csaba Szendrői. Not only known as a singer, he is also active in the literary field with his poetry. At the same time, as the creator of the #olvasniszabad movement and programme series, he has developed a way of promoting reading that preserves the intimate nature of the activity while also providing a shared experience. Beyond the pairing of the two projects, the interplay of literature and music will also appear during the course of the evening as Zoltán Beck, frontman of the band 30Y, is also active in both artistic disciplines. On this occasion, he is not returning to Müpa Budapest as a musical collaborator but as a participant in the discussion on literature and music. Serving as moderator in order to ensure everything follows a defined structure will be editor, journalist and presenter Dóra Mencseli. The evening will close with Felefánt, the duo comprising Csaba Szendrői and András Tóth, who will perform their most popular songs.
