Admission to Müpa Budapest's virtual concert hall is free of charge.
At the current time, even though it is safer to travel only through our imagination, as a member of the European Concert Hall Organisation we are giving you the chance to enjoy some concerts as though you were seated in the auditorium of one of the continent's most prestigious performing arts centres. While last year's autumn Rising Stars series for the 2020/2021 concert season at Müpa Budapest was cancelled due to the coronavirus epidemic, on our Facebook page you can now encounter six young and ambitious musicians or groups through a live broadcast of their performances from the Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Hamburg.

Jess Gillam, who turns 22 this year, won the Classic Brit Award and was the first saxophonist to reach the final of BBC Young Musician in the competition's history. She is a passionate and dedicated player of her instrument. She was only 15 when she held a TEDx talk on the saxophone that since been watched more than 100,000 times on YouTube. Jess grew up in the Cumbrian town of Ulverstone in the north-east of England and is currently a student of the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester - yet the young musician with an evocative performance style has already signed an exclusive contract with the Decca Classics record label. It is part of her musical credo that she wishes to reform the concert experience: she would like, for example, for the audience to be allowed to dance, clap and cry out between movements - she believes these instinctive reactions are expressions of the joy of music. On her Rising Stars debut, Jess will perform works - and of course arrangements - from several 20th and 21st century composers.
