Admission to Müpa Budapest's virtual concert hall is free of charge.
At the current time, even though it is safer to travel only through our imagination, as a member of the European Concert Hall Organisation we are giving you the chance to enjoy some concerts as though you were seated in the auditorium of one of the continent's most prestigious performing arts centres. While last year's autumn Rising Stars series for the 2020/2021 concert season at Müpa Budapest was cancelled due to the coronavirus epidemic, on our Facebook page you can now encounter six young and ambitious musicians or groups through a live broadcast of their performances from the Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Hamburg.

'Marvelously graceful instinctiveness,' is how the Süddeutsche Zeitung described Cristina Gómez Godoy's playing a few years ago. Born in the city of Linares, the Spanish oboist turns 30 this year. The young musician joined the Staatskapelle Berlin in 2012 and has served as the ensemble's principal oboist since 2013. In recent years, she has performed as a soloist accompanied by orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the São Paulo and Málaga symphony orchestras and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. She has also worked with conductors of the calibre of Simon Rattle, Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Andris Nelsons, Gustavo Dudamel, Daniel Harding and Alan Gilbert. Another indication of the interest in her work is the fact that she was invited to join the Bayreuth Festival's orchestra. An active chamber musician, she has been praised by partners ranging from Daniel Barenboim to Kian Soltani for her versatility and and adaptability. Mario Häring was born in Hannover and grew up in Berlin, studying with Heinz Kämmerling and Lars Vogt. In 2018, he won second prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition. At the concert we can also hear Sara Ferrández's viola playing in Mozart's trio piece, Kegelstatt. The young musician began playing the viola at the age of three. She is the sister of Pablo Ferrández, who previously appeared in the Rising Stars series. Sara has been invited to several major chamber music festivals, and since 2019 is a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker's Karajan Academy and a violist in Daniel Barenboim's West-Eastern Divan Orchestra.
