We would like, even during this extraordinary situation, for the Müpa Budapest audience to still be able to encounter the world's most outstanding and thrilling artists each evening - this time in their own homes. It is precisely for this reason that we have decided to unlock our media library for everyone over the weeks to come and - each night at the familiar times - open Müpa Budapest's virtual concert hall and auditoriums by providing access to a single unforgettable performance from past years.

The performance will be broadcasted on our website, Facebook-page and YouTube channel.

Mörk's music rests on a bed of funk and soul, with an eclectic sound which is completely cutting edge but which, in terms of its content, nonetheless follows in the footsteps of some great performers. The songs on their new album penetrate into the deepest depths of human existence, chewing up the unbreakable threads, spitting them out and then smashing the listener with a well-aimed blow into outer space. In this concert, the band's musical complexity and improvisation style will be further enhanced by guest musicians and a range of visual elements. Chaos is created so that harmony and order can thus emerge. The audience are buying a ticket for an audiovisual roller coaster.
After big stage performance at the Elbjazz Festival and Leverkusener Jazztage in Germany, the group are coming to the Müpa Budapest stage. Soul and funk-filled music, lyrics dealing with thoughtful social, psychological and everyday themes, improvisation and other stylistic elements all combining to provide a unique experience for their listeners. The five-track EP The Death of Mörk, released at the end of October 2018, is a more sombre musical collection, dealing with passing away and the fears inherent in it. The material is offset by a single released in April 2019, The Resurrection of Mörk, which offers a more unrestrained emotional experience for the listeners. These two opposing records were combined for a full length album last spring.
This recording was made at a concert held at Müpa Budapest on 18 June 2019.
