It is no exaggeration to call Saiid one of the leading figures in Hungary's hiphop and slam poetry scene, and he will be taking the stage at Müpa Budapest to realise an exciting idea of his: his Saiid + 1 show will have him rapping, slamming and poeticising his way through his entire oeuvre to date in a 'plus one' format involving each of his important line-ups. Saiid's varied army of guests joining and accompanying him through the show will be revealed one by one over the months leading up to the event. However, there will be a surprise in store as well, as the identity of one of them will remain a secret until they step out on the stage.

Saiid, as Márk Süveg is better known, requires no special introduction. Born in 1980, he has been a part of Hungary's hip-hop scene since the second half of the '90s as well as one of its key figures. After starting out as a DJ, he went on to gain recognition as a rapper as the MC and producer of the group Akkezdet Phiai, one of the finest and most popular in the world of Hungarian hip-hop. Since the advent of slam poetry in Hungary in 2006, he has been an emblematic slammer. There since the beginning, he went on to become a two-time national champion before joining Europe's front rank, when he took fifth place at the European poetry slam championship in 2012. By 2018, he was already hosting the European championship, in addition to serving as the regular host of the Slam Poetry Budapest club and acting as an engine driving the slammer world abroad as well. Not only does he frequently hold classes in alternative literature, his work has even become a subject for the national high school graduation examination, a way for him to exercise great influence on subsequent generations. He also performs with many other musicians as a frequent participant in Random Trip, which means that Saiid, who is now pursuing a solo career, is certain to have a varied guest list on this evening.
