Bori Péterfy and her band are celebrating: the life of the front woman of the chanson-pop-rock band (who have been together for 12 years) will reach one and a half billion seconds this year - a round number when converted into years. The backbone of this seated, psychedelic acoustic concert will come from the Love Band's 2010 album 2B, while the festive spirit will be completed by some special guests, including Bori's brother, the writer Gergely Péterfy, the slammer-rapper Saiid, who has previously co-written a song with the band, and the lyricist and co-creator Szabolc Tariska.
The singer and actress's artistic career began at the start of the 1990s in Budapest, where she played an active role in the blossoming alternative theatre scene, before later becoming a member of the Hungarian National Theatre. Her musical career began with Bori Péterfy & Love Band in 2007, founded alongside the composer and conductor Ambrus Tövisházi, when the song Hajolj bele a hajamba brought nationwide fame for Bori and her group. Their first album of chansons, alternative rock and colourful, psychedelic pop put the Love Band on the Hungarian pop music map, and they have been touring across it ever since. The most recent of their six studio albums, Bori X, was made to commemorate the tenth year of their existence. In a groundbreaking move, it was made available to download for free in a mobile game-app format, where you had to move a Bori character across various obstacles related to the songs on the album.
