László Kollár-Klemencz was at the peak of his popularity as the frontman of Kistehén when he released the first record that presented his truly personal world, the 2008 album Ember a fán (Man on the Tree). From one album to the next, the Kollár-Klemencz Chamber Orchestra have consistently honed a more intimate, chamber-instrumentation sound. Now, the audience can enjoy material from their recently released fifth album, Folyó (River). During this album launch concert, Kollár-Klemencz's classical- and folk music-influenced group will lead us into an enthralling world from which every river flows.

László Kollár-Klemencz, who works consciously in the fields of literature and music, first made his name in the late 1980s with the groups Boann and Andersen before finding more global fame with Kistehén in the 21st century. It was at this point, however, that he also founded a chamber orchestra to highlight his more melancholic side, with three further albums also recorded (Legesleges - 2014, Rengeteg - 2016, Ég az erdő - 2020). Folyó is the Kollár-Klemencz Chamber Orchestra's fifth album, and is a conscious continuation of their work, with each record going to new depths in every sense. For this presentation of the new album, we will see a mature group - both in modern and classical music - taking to the stage: classical music, folk music and world music performers that over the years have become fully adapted to the constant alterations of the band leader, who is forever seeking out new paths. The ensuing world of Kollár-Klemencz is both natural and supernatural, a sound that is without boundaries, yet which also bears the distinctive traces of Hungarian culture. Today, they are a permanent and joyous fixture on the Hungarian music scene, holding our joy and pain in the palm of their hands.
