The story of Háy Come Beck began in 2010. After more than a hundred performances, these first-rate creative minds bid farewell to their joint podium evening with a rejuvenated and updated version that is full of of surprises for the Müpa Budapest audience. So anyone who wishes to be part of this frenetic evening of music and literature cannot afford to miss this never-to-return opportunity.

It all began with a chance meeting. The Hungarian writer János Háy and Zoli Beck, the frontman of 30Y, were summoned to a joint photo shoot at the Metro 4 stop at Móricz Zsigmond körtér, which was still under construction at the time. The idea - which was probably based on the concept of photographing two defining figures of underground Hungarian literature and high-quality pop music in a subterranean setting - did not necessarily meet with the approval of the two artists, who, after standing around uncertainly with hands in pockets, drifted closer to one another and struck up a conversation. This was when and how they met. They noticed that their chat was entirely natural and as if they had always known one another or grown up together. On that day, they made up their minds to do something together. Not long afterwards, the Hungarian author János Háy's was woken up by the ringing of his phone. At the other end of the line was the organiser of their evening, the editor of a journal, who said they would need an original, striking name so that the poster would say more than just János Háy and Zoli Beck. The author immediately grasped that he would have to say something so he could go back to sleep. And so it was that he was half asleep when he came up with the catchy name of Háy Come Beck. The editor liked the moniker and that is what was made it onto the posters.
