Tamás Pálfalvi
- Rising Stars

"I was ten years old when I posted the words 'Tamás Pálfavi, trumpet player' on the door of the rehearsal room. And I've been moving toward that goal ever since.” This is how this year's Hungarian participant in the Rising Stars programme describes his relationship with his calling.
It appears that the singing teacher had a good eye. Since that day, Tamás Pálfalvi and his "trumpeter's mouth” have won numerous competitions here in Hungary and abroad. He has studied at Bard College in the United States and at Budapest's Franz Liszt Academy of Music. A soloist since 2008, he made his début on Baroque trumpet in 2014. The selection of extremely colourful and excruciatingly difficult compositions by 20th century composers that he will play at his Rising Stars concert are also complex in terms of their genre - as they also involve dance.
In Festival Square after the concert, visitors will be able to participate in a meet and greet moderated by Endre Tóth, where they can chat with the artists appearing in the concert and the composer Péter Eötvös and request autographs from the artists.
