A truly exciting leading duo makes Puccini's bittersweet and atypical opera even more interesting in its New York performance. In Nicolas Joël's elegant art deco-inspired production from 2008, we will witness the meeting and sad farewell of the characters portrayed by the always thrilling American soprano Angel Blue and her compatriot Jonathan Tetelman, who will make his debut in this role at the Met. The reliable sense of style of Speranza Scappucci will ensure a soaring performance of the opera's music.
The superior quality broadcasts in Müpa Budapest are screened in the original language with Hungarian and English subtitles.
The 'Metropolitan Opera Live in HD' transmissions have been made possible through the cooperation of our partner, liveincinema.eu s.r.o.
