Vaghy and Endre Kertész are equally well known for an openness that is of course essential to improvisational music. The duo will tune in to each other for the first time for this performance, where they will improvise exclusively for the duration of their 40-minute show. Audiences may also know Tamás Vághy as the keyboard player for Anna and the Barbies, but he started showing another side to himself a couple of years ago. The work of Frahm alerted him to the idea that modern classical pop was the best arena for his experiments at home, and prompted him to augment his piano compositions with electronic effects and vintage keyboards, while the latest development on this evening is the debut of a drum inspired by robotics that works with the help of electromagnets. It is with these that the cello play of Endre Kertész's achieves symbiosis. The musician, who graduated from the Vienna Academy of Music, regularly shows his skills across a broad range of music. Beyond classical music, he is also involved in theatre, folk and free music, but also plays in more structured formations, such as the bands of Félix Lajkó and Edina 'Mókus' Szirtes. A coming together of unbonded elements with good chemistry.
