Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
At one time or another, either listening to street musicians or at outdoor festivals, everyone has almost certainly encountered the unmistakable sound of the handpan and with it the peaceful, quiet, soothing ethereal pulsation that was born barely two decades ago from the rethinking of an instrument called the hang. The handpan is perhaps the youngest instrument in the world, a meeting of cultures in a steel shell that combines the qualities of Trinidad, Thai, Indian and Indonesian percussion instruments. Sounds of the Handpan: an interactive introduction to the magical world of the instrument.
