Magidom is bringing an out-of-the-ordinary concert incorporating an enticing theatrical experience to the Müpa Budapest stage. The band's songs, which span a wide spectrum of alternative guitar pop, are performed in the spirit of "constant change”, with the participation of guest musicians and musically rearranged into a series of stories to be depicted by actress Brigitta Egyed. Spectators can look forward to a Near-Life Experience ranging between downcast sorrow and hurrahs of optimism.

Active since 2010, Magidom is made up of two brothers, their cousin and two good friends of theirs. Appearing on their albums (Turistajel - 2014, Plakátmagány - 2019) and songs are many shades of guitar pop, varying from scratchy indie rock to banjo-infused folk-sounding indie folk and more soulful or even bluesy sounds that are sometimes rich in wind instruments. The band's themes are also characterised by a multifaceted approach, ranging from transplanting the poems of Miklós Radnóti and Dániel Varró to socially critical texts with an air of reality and using the devices of irony and pathos. On this evening, the Magidom concert experience will go into hyperspace and expand into a thrilling theatrical experience with an extraterrestrial realm in which the audience can also be an active part.

During the production, we will simply drift along with the events together with the band, as we attempt - through adventures packaged into exciting songs, to head away from nothingness in the direction of something. Meanwhile, a mysterious ringmaster weaves the threads. Sometime helping and sometimes rolling obstacles in the way, he attempts to pull Man on a string, laughing at him and mourning him. Only God knows whether he is an angel or a devil... Under such circumstances, it is impossible to know whether what awaits us for the finale will be Plakátmagány ("Poster Loneliness") or Mosolyoghatnék ("We can smile")... One thing is certain: let's watch the minute quivers of the world together!
