Following up on the success of his albums Az Illés szekerén ('On Elijah's Chariot') and Ráadás ('Encore'), János Bródy and his new band are now getting ready for a special concert in the auditorium with the finest acoustics in Budapest, where he will summon forth the shared memories we have all preserved in his songs.

Bródy has been a presence on the Hungarian music scene since the 1960s: in the decades that have passed since the legendary times he spent with the bands Illés and Fonográf, he has been travelling his own path with his own compositions. The Kossuth Prize- and Liszt Award-winning artist is a faithful chronicler of our country's history and its riches of twists, turns and repetitions, as well as a consistent representative of the shared values adopted in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Bródy has remained true to himself throughout: his eight solo albums and his classic songs that never lose their relevance are proof of his ability to use his talents as a songwriter and performer to credibly express the dreams and disappointments of his generation in a manner that anyone can grasp. On the rapidly revolving stage of popular music, the legendary artist has always remained the 'eternal teen', whose poetry recast into songs - tempered by his trademark irony - casts a spell on those who dream of a more beautiful and just world.
At his two-hour concert Tudod, én ott voltam ('You know, I was there'), the artist will once again share with us the opinions - about love, friendship, struggle, freedom and one's lives as both a private individual and a citizen - that he has conveyed into music. In addition to the familiar tunes, the painstakingly compiled programme will also feature his most recent compositions, which Bródy fans can rest assured will be just as solid as always.
