Gábor Gundel Takács hardly needs any introduction to anyone who lives in Hungary. Who has never heard him broadcast a water polo or tennis match? Or seen him as the host of the programmes Maradj talpon! ("Who's Still Standing”) and Áll az alku ("Deal or No Deal”).

Having worked as a sports commentator since 1983, Takács has reported on Olympic games and this year's aquatic world championships. Although his professional focus is on the world of sports - he studied at the University of Physical Education between 1989 and 1993 - his activities as a journalist and editor also extend to other areas, such as the blog Komolyan kérdezem ("Seriously Asking”) that he maintains on the internet magazine Szemlélek ("Outlooks”). His voice has been a familiar presence presenting on Danubius Rádió for years, and he has been Hungary's commentator for the Eurovision Song Festival on numerous occasions since 1998, as well as the host of talent search and entertainment programmes and of popular television quiz shows.
In addition to all this, he is the father of three children and, last but not least, a jazz fan. As to exactly which styles, instruments and performers lie closest to his heart, that is something hostess Erika Náray will be finding out, with the band led by Tamás Berdisz joining her to play some of their guest's favourite jazz music.

Audience members will be able to take their seats in the Bohém Restaurant on a first-come, first-served basis from 6 pm, and can enjoy dinner before and after the concert.
