The Prieger brothers - Zsolt and Szabolcs - founded Anima Sound System in 1993. Apart from their danceability, the band's greatest strength is their artistic bravery: they are capable of renewing themselves from one period to the next, foregoing familiar and timeworn patterns in order to begin something completely new. Naturally, this is exactly what we can expect from Zsolt Prieger and his band's latest show: Loving, Murderous Ballads will be a 'theatrical concert-vision', and the related album will also be released on the same day as their Hey, June! concert. Featuring instrumentalists, actors, filmmakers and lighting artists, this large-scale production will focus on love in its gentle, erotic and even absurdly murderous forms, narrated live and on film. 'A musical, poetical, visual and physical explosion, which showcases how genres and styles can be made accessible 'Anima-style' and how Hungarian cultural traditions are immortal, yet totally modern.'
