Have you ever heard of the Queen of the Night who trains animals? And of the trapeze artist Tamino? But your parents must have told you about the clumsy clown Papageno, who always interferes in everything, or his chatty sweetheart, Papageno the tightrope walker... The names of the cast will be familiar to many from perhaps Mozart's most popular opera, The Magic Flute, but this time we also can be sure to see tricks and stunts never seen before from the versatile artistes of the Bozsik Yvette Company: The Magic Circus is back!

It was exactly 15 years ago, in 2007, that the Bozsik Yvette Company first presented The Magic Circus, a spectacular and challenging performance in the magical and mysterious world of the circus based on the Magic Flute, which is strictly tailored to the fantasies and way of thinking of children. One does not need to be a mental gymnast artist to work out that the young people who were amazed by the circus tricks performed by the dancers are now bringing their own children to the theatre for a light, yet high-quality and entertaining introduction to the world of acrobatic performance. The Kossuth Prize-winning director-choreographer Yvette Bozsik is now presenting this old hit with a partly new cast and enriched with new elements: the story is about members of a travelling circus who are given the opportunity to perform in the palace of Sarastro, the great magician. Of course, they do their best to please this strange figure, but he continues to test and challenge the young lovers. Sarastro does his best: in this action-packed story, the magician transforms the characters, who seem to be confronted by their distorted reflections on a stage with lavish scenery, but the Queen of the Night takes up the fight...
