This series is conceived for elementary school children. The goal is to bring them into closer contact with those musical genres they may not come across in their normal, everyday musical experience or in the school curriculum. There will be a one hour interactive concert organised especially for school groups, where we will journey across the landscapes of different musical genres, including instrumental folk music, world music and jazz, exploring their crossovers and connections.

Does classical music - known to Hungarians as ‘serious music' - always have to be so serious? Often, composers delight us with musical jokes based on unexpected, surprising turns, incongruous musical elements, deliberate mistakes and parodies, or simply uninhibited, joyful, sometimes unrestrained musical moods. Eccentric scherzos, humoresques and burlesques (all three words signifying jokes) and other humorous musical pieces will be heard at this concert, as interpreted by a woodwind ensemble which - putting all seriousness aside, but with serious attention to detail - explores the inexhaustible treasure trove of musical humour.
