What will you find in the biographies of authors in textbooks? Is it important to know about the life of the person who wrote your favourite poem or novel? And if so, what is it that concerns us? Were these people really more special, wiser than us, did they lead exemplary lives? Are the private lives of writers even relevant to us? How should you feel if it turns out your favourite writer lived a less than saintly life? How are their lives and their life's work connected? If they are connected at all.

Looking for answers in this six-part series will be Krisztián Nyáry, the writer of the popular literary romance books, Így szerettek ők (This Is How They Loved). The objective of this literature historian, book publisher and communications expert is to offer an alternative to the cardboard cut-out characters of the biographies found in textbooks. Using real, thrilling though less well-known stories, Nyáry presents the real flesh-and-blood person, thereby enticing us to read their work. Six remarkable lives, six major life works, six highly unusual literature classes. The starring role will be taken by the poets Sándor Petőfi, Mór Jókai, Endre Ady, Mihály Babits, Lőrinc Szabó and Attila József, not to mention the students themselves.
