Previous children's pieces that the Yvette Bozsik Company have staged in recent years - Flowers of the Arabian Nights, The Coyote Dancing with the Stars, Puss in Boots, Pinocchio and Bogarak - have helped children to get to know and love other cultures around the world. These productions were also a good opportunity for getting youngsters acquainted with classical music and the art of dance.

This time around, the National Dance Theatre has commissioned them to create a work based on Hungarian folk stories. Our Hungarian folk stories are common treasures that teach us about our shared traditions and about life, which they do with kind-hearted wisdom, a colourful sense of imagination, humour and wit. Almost imperceptibly, they help us - children and adults alike - work through fundamental moral questions and everyday issues and problems. The Yvette Bozsik Company will be staging these stories with a spectacular set and costumes, in a production that also exploits Müpa Budapest's technical capabilities, with the choreographies created by the company's dancers themselves.
