Everyone has their own image of Vienna. For music lovers, of course, it is the Viennese composers of the Classic era. The musicians from Pécs are bringing 'One Night in Vienna' to the Budapest audience, but with a special twist: there will be no waltz or melody, not even aKaiserquartett. Instead, there will be a performance of one masterpiece from three era-defining Viennese composers.

We will have the chance to not only hear the music of Vienna , but all the influences that Mozart and Schubert absorbed, as well as the new forms of music created by Arnold Schönberg 100 years later. The compositions from Mozart and Schubert clearly demonstrate that they were just as knowledgeable of the classical genre as their contemporaries, and made virtuoso use of this knowledge in their music. It is also evident how they absorbed countless influences from outside Vienna and also had their own impact on composers beyond the Austrian capital, influencing Schumann and Mendelssohn, as well as the 20th century music of Schönberg. Tibor Bogányi, who lives in Vienna and is principle conductor of the Pannon Philharmonic, will ensure a perfect performance on the night.
