The dramaturgy of the production and the arrangement for a chamber ensemble is the work of Garth Edwin Sunderland, a Bernstein specialist. This version, which adheres to the spirit of the original but has a slightly different structure, was premiered by the Ensemble Modern in 2013, at the Vienna Konzerthaus, under the baton of Kent Nagano.

Bernstein's A Quiet Place is performed in Budapest with the permission of Universal Music Publishing Editio Musica, granted on behalf of Boosey & Hawkes Music Publishing Limited.
