As a member of the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO), every year Müpa Budapest takes part in the production of the Rising Stars series. The concerts in the series present young artists performing programmes of music that include premières of contemporary works commissioned by ECHO.
The contemporary work to be heard at this concert, written by the 28-year-old French composer Camille Pépin, was inspired by Nighthawks (1942), one of the best-known works by the prominent American realist painter Edward Hopper (1882-1967).
Nominated for the Rising Stars programme by: Cité de la musique - Philharmonie de Paris & Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Lisbon
Co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
Presented by: Müpa Budapest
