As a member of the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO), every year Müpa Budapest takes part in the production of the Rising Stars series. The concerts in the series present young artists performing programmes of music that include premières of contemporary works commissioned by ECHO.

ECHO is a supranational organisation, its basic mission being to recognise and exploit the opportunities inherent in mutual cooperation. No finer example of this could be found than the Amatis Trio, representing international cooperation in its purest form. The trio consists of a German violinist, a British cellist and a Dutch/Chinese pianist. Performing their first concert in 2014, the trio immediately attained a very high standard, winning the audience prize at the Grachtenfestival Amsterdam a matter of a few weeks after beginning to work together. They went on to perform outstandingly at further competitions and to win prestigious accolades (the International Parkhouse Competition at the Wigmore Hall; the Joseph Joachim Competition in Weimar; the Dutch Classical Talent award; inclusion in the BBC New Generation Artists scheme).
Today the Amatis Trio is an outstanding representative of the new generation of European chamber musicians, receiving enthusiastic reviews for its performances in continental Europe, Great Britain and Asia. The musicians are also committed performers of contemporary music, which is no better illustrated by the Dutch Piano Trio Composition Prize they themselves founded, thereby encouraging the further expansion of the piano trio repertoire. The new work to be heard at this concert in its Hungarian première was written by the Swedish composer Andrea Tarrodi, born in 1981.
