The "blood-red king" returns to Budapest

After last year's concert tour in America, King Crimson, the most prestigious progressive rock band, is going on a tour in Europe in 2018. To the joy of many, Budapest has now been added to the sites announced so far, as a stage of the band's tour called Uncertain Times will be held in the Müpa concert hall on 29th June.

They performed several times in various formations in Budapest before, and this time they arrive to Müpa as a double quartet: the founder and guitarist Fripp with three drummers, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison and Jeremy Stacey, keyboardist Bill Rieflin, guitarist and singer Jakko Jakszyk, bassist Tony Levin and saxophonist and flutist Mel Collins make up the band. Their concert will be a commemoration to all the previous eras of the King Crimson, with six songs included that were never played at their concerts before, in addition to their latest three-drummer compositions.

Ticket sales for tickets to the concert in Budapest will commence for the Gold and Platinum members of the Müpa+ loyalty program from 10 am on 22nd February, and tickets for the general public will be available from 10 am on 23rd February at the ticket offices of Müpa and online at the Müpa website.
