Drive-in Cinema series starting at Müpa Budapest

We can't wait for the gates of Müpa Budapest to open in the autumn, but in the meantime we would like to help make our visitors' summer a great one with some memorable moments. Which is why Müpa Drive-in Cinema will run from 1 July to 25 July, every Wednesday to Saturday. We look forward to receiving music lovers in the car park next to the building – with a price of 4000 HUF per car.

Every evening, we will be broadcasting concerts taking place live at Müpa Budapest from Hungarian performers from a wide array of genres. Wednesday will be reserved for classical music, on two of the Thursdays we can enjoy broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera – Puccini’s La bohème and Lehár’s operetta The Merry Widow – while on Fridays and Saturdays the Müpa Drive-in Concert Cinema will be given over to lovers of pop, world music and jazz. The live concerts will start at 9 pm, while the Met broadcasts will begin at 8 pm. Among others, the cello virtuoso István Várdai, Budapest Bár, Vujicsics és a Söndörgő, Lóci Játszik, Péterfy Bori & Love Band, The Qualitons and the Lőrinc Barabás Quartet will take to the stage, while we can also enjoys productions from Random Trip and the Hungarian All Star Big Band.
