Spectacular summer line-up at Müpa Budapest: Diana Krall, Marcus Miller and Charlotte Gainsbourg all on the bill

Numerous superstars have already graced the Müpa Budapest stage in the 2018/19 season, and this trend is set to continue in the coming months as well. Fortunately, the big guns won't be absent at the start of summer either, with three arriving straight away: French singer-actress Charlotte Gainsbourg is gearing up for her very first Hungarian performance, genre-crossing Grammy-winner Marcus Miller is showcasing his new album, and Diana Krall is returning to Müpa Budapest after 2016 in rather illustrious company.

Almost three years later to the day, Diana Krall returns to the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall on 26 June. This time around, two truly special fellow musicians will be in accompaniment: saxophonist Joe Lovano and guitarist Marc Ribot will guarantee for maximum audience satisfaction.  Charlotte Gainsbourg, daughter of French singer-actor-composer-director Serge Gainsbourg and British actress Jane Birkin, is not just a movie star, but also a successful singer, who will be making her Hungarian debut at Müpa Budapest. In addition to the most important songs of her albums to date, on 30 June she will also be presenting pieces from the Take 2 EP, released at the end of 2018. Effortlessly balancing on genre boundaries, bassist Marcus Miller returned with a highly-anticipated new solo album in 2018. His Laid Black album is a return to the East Coast musical roots, with hip-hop, soul, funk and R’n’B rhythms all making appearances in the tracks next to his trademark bass. The album tour arrives to Budapest on 3 July

Tickets for the concert become available to Platinum members of the Müpa+ membership programme from 10 am on Tuesday, 5 March; and from 10 am and 3 pm on 6 March for Gold and Silver members, respectively. Tickets for the public and Basic level members of the Müpa+ membership programme become available from 10 am on Thursday, 7 March.
